Erik Hermansen recruited a number of volunteers to form Caravel Games after Webfoot Technologies, the original publishers of his masterpiece Deadly Rooms of Death abandoned the game. Mike Rimer took over as development lead on the Architects' Edition of the game in 2003 and the two have worked together on commercial titles since then.
