Ok, to aviod future warns due to posting barbaric stuff in the gentlemen's thread, I hereby open this topic!  ;)

To start it off, has anyone actually tasted mead? I know I haven't, the closest thing I've tried is Belgian "honey beer" and that was waaaaaaay to sweet for my taste.

I'm also proud to annouce that I participated in one heck of a glorious battle the other day. Here's a screenshot, it was me against the crowd ;)

Oh, and one more thing...

Well I've drunk both traditional Scandinavian mead and of course Finnish mead too. Finnish version is sweeter and has - here come's the surprise - less alcohol, which makes it suitable even for kids in small dozes. I prefer Scandinavian - less surprising - version. Throughout world there're dozens of different ways to produce mead and Cretan kind of mead was propably the first. In general determination of mead is mild alcohol drink that has honey in it. Scandinavians had it as their national drink and were famous of it and we Finns traditionally drink it first of May.

Nice to have thread for us barbarians too! :)

Oops, sorry. I didn't do that much Swedish, you know...;)
Anyway:
ä = Alt + 132
Ä = Alt + 142
ö = Alt + 148
Ö = Alt + 153

(and just for the sake of completeness, the "tysk y")
ü = Alt + 129
Ü = Alt + 154

Swedish... always they are 'Swedish'... As if they were only ones to use them! "Syödä" for example is very common finnish word having both ä and ö, meaning "eat". Okay, ä and ö are only ones from that list, but Swedes use only å in addition! :)

And back to topic, here's re-enactment of me slaughtering those stupid Jerries in 1403 IIRC:

With the numberpad it seems, plus on paper with a pen/pencil and you speak them in a Scandinavian way.

You're just luck that those Jerries don't have Swiss Armoured Pikemen, really...

Also didn't you Finns team up with them?

Prejudice, Finns have fought alongside Estonians in pre-medieval times, part of Sweden medieval times, Part of Imperial Russia, alone in Winter War (with all respect, foreign volunteers were too small portion) and with Jerries in Continuation War.

And you're right, I was lucky they didn't have any 'real' anti-cavalry troops. But it was only me and my guard, totalling 21 against 640!

I imagine you have, you lucky Finn.:)

All you need to do is turn the numlock on. Then the combinations should work on any keyboard, though. Unless you happen to have a laptop, that is.
