How do I know which scrolls are recall?

You can buy them in town for a small price.

You can find out which flavour corresponds to what by selling things in town (it upsets the shopkeeper when he gives you 10 gold for a scroll of Summon Monster ) - safer than reading them, but you do tend to lose a bit of value on things like wands, staffs and some potions (for which the same technique also works). Once you've got enough money, the Thieves' Guild and the Tower of Sorcery will ID all your stuff for a fixed price, which is efficient and time saving if you've a full backpack.

I can't seem to backtrack. Everytime I use the same staircase I end up in a different dungeon...

no, you end up in the same level with a different layout. This is great, as you can totally cheat your way out by regenerating the dungeon level until there's basically a ladder out all over the place.

By the way, where do I find the Phial of Galadriel?

Phial of Galadriel? *spoiler*It can show on level 1, but the most common place I see it is dropped by the monsters guarding level 6. It's most useful because you don't have to arse around refueling it. There are better light source artifacts found deeper.*/spoiler*

How do I get rid of cursed objects that I'm wearing?

Read a scroll of remove curse (or *remove* curse if they're heavily cursed) - you can cast the spell other ways too, and it removes them off all your equipment.

Ok, so I need to find a scroll then...
... Why is it that my character sometimes randomly (?) teleports. It says that my character can teleport, but I don't know how. I think I'm activating it sometimes when I walk...

I don't get it. I just died. I was a lever 13 chaos warrior bla bla bla, but the game said I was level 1 and had 0 xp...

weird. did you load the wrong file? If you've the random teleporting mutation or a cursed ring of teleportation that can teleport you sometimes, and a Trump weapon will give you the option to activate it every so many turns in an irritating manner, as well as offering an activated ability that teleports you (every 50+d50 turns or something) - might need to *identify* it to know that though.

I don't think I loaded the wrong file. I was playing as my beastman and I had four legs, was on flames yada yada yada...
