This is a cool japanese shooter along the lines of Torus Trooper, Parsec 47 and Warning Forever.

Much like those games, the graphics are retro polygons coupled with... I'll call it an atmosphere. Anyway, it's the mix of music, speed and gameplay that turn Torus Trooper's geometric graphics into just the great gaming experience it is.

The gameplay is simple yet attractive, only using the arrows for movement, the z key for firing (a release and re-pressing of the button when close to an enemy will lock-on) and the x key to zoom out the screen and send a flood of bullets in the area the ship is facing.

The difficulty levels are well balanced, each increasing the range at which the enemy begin firing at you. (At hard, the shoot you from pretty much anywhere in the arena, making for some crazy long distance duels sometimes)

The levels are short and sweet, arrange in a simple pattern of 9 regular waves, and one boss fight.

Some gaming sites compare this game to asteroids, this is only true in the sense that it is in a top down view.

In conclusion, I recommend this game to anyone who likes shooters or twitch gaming.
