I don't think there's any research in DefCon either, from what I got you an only chose locations for your installations and excecute nuclear strikes.

uhm... Bravo Romeo Delta doesn't have any research. or resources. it's just a simulation of a controlled (as oposed to all-out in DefCon) nuclear excahnge. within the timespan of a few days (no time to research stuff, allthough one could argue that the population is a resource).

If I had problems with copycatery (copycating?) I wouldn't be here. a large part of the games weh have here are remakes (add to that the games that are the originals, and the games that are infact remakes but pretend not to be and you'll see it's actualy well over a half of our selection).
heck, I might even buy this game when it come out here (you know, if I run out of fun freeware to play )

Weirdly, the thing that appeals to me the most about this is the fact that it kind of looks the way I imagine videogames should look - like something out of Tron. If ever you want to win me over just show me some flat shaded polygons or colourful wireframe stuff.

I think you'd enjoy most things from this developer. Darwinia is rather poligonal, and Uplink is cool too.
for me it's not that it looks like a computer game ("tron"), but rather like a high command military display from the 80s ("wargames").
