All nouns can be put into this "here is, about, from, to". Although some words are the same in more than one form, like my name.

Þetta er Sigurður. (This is Sigurður)
Þetta er sagan um Sigurð (This is the story of Sigurður)
Þessi gjöf er frá Sigurði (This gift is from Sigurður)
Þessi gjöf er til Sigurðs / Sigurðar (This gift is to Sigurður. "Sigurðs" is more common, but Sigurðar is also, I believe, correct).

Hér er hús
um hús
frá húsi
til húss
(House)

The core of the nouns, Sigurð, Freyj and hús, always stay the same.

Well, it's the inflected forms of nouns, I mean:

Þetta er Sigurður. (This is Sigurður) -> nominative of 'Sigurður'
Þetta er sagan um Sigurð (This is the story of Sigurður) -> genitive
Þessi gjöf er frá Sigurði (This gift is from Sigurður) -> dative
Þessi gjöf er til Sigurðs / Sigurðar (This gift is to Sigurður. "Sigurðs" is more common, but Sigurðar is also, I believe, correct). -> accusative

The only thing that's slightly unusual about that is that Icelandic treats names as nouns and fully inflects them.
(I vaguely remember that bit about the alternative form from my Old Norse class, I think. Wasn't one of them the old form and the other one a modernised one?)
