Was just watching an Eric Johnson concert and he definately deserves a spot on here.

After watching some of the latest G3 live in Toyko got to add Steve Vai to my list, he's got such a unique way of playing, definite skills.

Steve Vai is one of the most technically advanced guitar players in the world. Some of the stuff that he can do is simply jaw dropping. However, I find him to be inferior to other virtuosos like Satriani because his music for the most part lacks clear vision. That being said, For the Love of God, has got to be the best solo guitar song ever concieved and recorded. Too bad he ran out of ideas shortly after.

Vai definitely has got that technical prowess it shows. Plus the fact that Satriani was his teacher speaks wonders about where he got it from. I liked on the G3 dvd his first track The Audience is listening, especially that beginning rift he does, at first I was like what the heck is that but it's grown on me.

Yeah, The Audience is Listening is a fun track. Check out the studio version, good stuff.

Saw a week back Yngwie Malmsteen that guy is an insanely fast shredder. He's good very good and the classical style he plays is very cool to hear, only problem the guy's got a massive ego that's like look how good I can thrash, the G3 Jam with Satch and Vai in Denver there were always times where he would just take the lead when it's supposed to be a jam.

^lmao yeah Yngwie is famous for his bloated ego. His on stage antics (like his famous kick) is laughable at best these days.

Not his famous kick my lord that's hilarious when he does that and he's almost 50 years old too but just seeing that kick, so funny.

My favorite, the Amott brothers, Michael and Chris, from Arch Enemy. What I like is they play solid and clean. Amazing, also add John Petrucci on the list.
