Well this is the first I've heard of the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, always heard of the other name for them, guessing to make it more appeal to the youngings by way of the word ninja. And yeah they qualify as ninjas by their training and such yessssss.

Hmm, strange. But I'm positive that when I first heard of them (mid- to late 80s) they were called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles...

It looks like Brits feel some sort of aversion towards the title "Teenage mutant ninja turtles"
DakaSha:if you go into a kindergarden and give all the kids rubber schlongs they will prob just hit each other over the head with them

Yeah I remember that heroes in a half shell, turtle power, lord I can still remember the theme song, why do I think it was turtles in a half shell though, whateva.

ive even got the title song on my hardrive 
(from toms AB post i believe).
and they are also called hero turtles in germany... in north america they are only known as ninjas...
