Inspired by Frodo's Quest for Glory poll, I decided to make this poll. I intentionally left single games out, but if I missed a series I apologize.
Anyway, my vote goes to Gabriel Knight, since imo they're the best adventure games made by Sierra, if not the best adventure games made ever (and I'm re-installing the first one as I write this ). As a second, I'd go for Quest for Glory and then Laura Bow and Police Quest for third and fourth.
What about you guys?

Furthermore, it is my opinion that Carthage must be destroyed.

Space Quest, as it's the only series I've actually played. Although I did manage to get hold of King's Quest 1-6 recently thanks to my father's e-baying efforts, so I might check those out soon.
After finals, that is...

I hope he didn't have to pay too much, since Sierra recently released a KQ collection. I believe they also released a SQ, a PQ and a Larry collection.

Probably Police Quest, also haven't played the Kings Quest Series , yet its one of my plans for perhaps the summer to check em out, that and the Gabriel Knight series too, since been wanting to play those games for ages.

Well, that's good. It would've been too bad to have paid 50 euros for them, when they've just been re-released. And to be honest, I'm not sure if the later games are even in the new collection.

Know for the Larry Collection it's just games 1-6, they didn't include 7. The others like Police Quest 1-4, Space Quest believe its all of them, not too sure about the Kings Quest one though either.

Actually, thinking of it, I have to admit that PQ and SQ were good also. However, I know, I'm heretic, I can't understand what's so great in KQs? I personally think they stink. And about all the games: the first one, two or perhaps even three in some cases were easily the best. None of the later ones gives as great gaming experience as the first ones.
Larry I rox. Period.

On a completely unrelated note, Mask of Eternity looks really awful.

My vote goes to Quest For Glory series. You can play as 3 different characters (thief, fighter, magic user), which gives it a lot of replay value.
I also loved the early KQ, but not part 7 & 8. Part 8: Mask Of Eternity wasn't TOO bad,, but I hated the cartoon graphics in Part 7.
The SQ games were really funny. Just brilliant.
Gabriel Knight is another brilliant series. Very atmospheric.
Sierra have so many wonderful games.
