I think thisgame would be an awesome addition to Reloaded. It still is in beta(I believe) but it is in a fully playable state and is one of the best RTS's on the web. It's full name is Total Annihillation Spring, and it is an open-source game, so for sure it is freeware. Check it out!

well, at least they claim it is. and it's a pretty big and old project, I doubt they would still be around if they were breaking something...

The core game is released under GPL License. Fortunately as of now, there are also two mods which have been released under the GNU/GPL, and several more which do not have clear licence terms (owned by their modder).
However, there are also several mods for which some parts are still under copyright of Atari. For these you need to own the original TA game if you want to play.

you are correct. Now someone has to add it to "the list".

Just read up on this, it requires at least one mod and by default comes with a mod containing commercial content. I didn't search around everywhere but I didn't notice a non-commercial-content mod.
the problem is:
a)TASpring is commercial. no go.
b)Spring is an engine, not a game. also atypical of our site.
So once a decent game is developed under it, we should include that.

Hurm, so does this mean that we'd review Kernel Panic itself or Taspring? It seems to me that Taspring is just the engine, and it would be kinda lame to have a review on that itself. I can see the reviewer writing now... "So the UI buttons were shiny and all nice, but the placement was ergonomically unsound."
Seriously, though, this is kind of a problem - we can't review Taspring for what it's made for, which is Total Annihilation, which sucks because then all the other mods probably won't be on par with it.
Kingdom Falls, what you thinking about reviewing, exactly? We could probably do Kernel Panic, or some of the higher quality ones on this page, although I'm not sure how we're set up to handle multiple mods of the same game.
