An online clone of Bust a Move (also see Frozen bubble)
Link
The purpose of this game is to shoot colored orbs into your playfield, so they form groups of three or more. You win if you manage to remove all orbs. You lose if any orb attaches below the white line.
You can make the job harder for your opponent by making orbs fall down as a side-effect of you forming a group. For example, on the screenshot shown on this page, the player on the left playfield can fire a white orb onto the three white orbs in the top left of his field, and cause the six orbs below to reapper on his opponent's playfield.
No installation is required for this game. Just download the executable and run it. Tip: Use Alt-F to toggle fullscreen mode.

puzzle bobble!
hmmmm it is strange, that back in the old days on SNES, it was called Puzzle Bobble, and then it was changed to Bust A Move in the west later on. Without a reason I can remember anyway, and wikipedia doesn't tell why either . Why they changed the name. But anyway, then there came a dance game in Japan called Bust A Move (on PSX) and then that was changed, into Bust A Groove, so sometimes I think when game titles gets changed, then it is for the worse. Ok sorry enough offtopic in a topic. Well Frozen bubble is really the best freeware version of that game if you don't prefer the Snood game instead. But that one I don't know is freeware, or not.

Wasn't Puzzle Bobble based on the dragon characters?
Puzzle Bobble has a name connection to the Bubble Bobble, since it is Bub and Bob from Bubble Bobble who is at the bottom.
That is why, I have always pondered why they changed the name to Bust A Move. Since the connection almost disapeared.

Or wasn't it a different company that developed Bust A Move? But perhaps got a licensing agreement, with the original developers, to use the characters.

Good point, think it depends on what was negotiated in terms of what could be used mostly I'm guessing.
Wells did some research on the games, and it was actually Taito who developed the first game Bubble Bobble with it's many ports, the Bust a Move Series was developed by Acclaim hence why the name changed occured, as Taito was never involved directly with the Bust A Move series

Think back in the day was freeware for a bit of time, so they went back to shareware though, that's a bummer.
