Just came in the mail:

Therion - Lemuria/Sirius 2CD (Absolutely incredible metal album. Almost 3 hours of music on 2 cds and there is absolutely no filler. Symphonic death metal taken to a new level)

Yngwie Johann Malmsteen: Concerto Suite For Electric Guitar And Orchestra in E Flat Minor Op.1 DVD (Guitar god playing with a full syphony. Jaw droping amazing guitar playing. Amazing that he composed and orchestrated all these pieces of music)

Picked up today Image and Words by Dream Theater, so far so good with the album, very progressive but still with that distinct metal sound, have to let it grow on me some of the iffy tracks but they will oh they will. :)

Only that bothered me was 19 bucks for like 8 tracks, I could've picked up their concept album too for that price but I didn't hmmm I don't know they are good tracks but for 8 and 19 doesn't seem fair imo.

^Gotta take track length into consideration. Some cds have 15+ tracks that are little over 3 mins each (Linkin Park for example). Images and Words has a few tracks that are pushing 10 minutes. Length wise, its an above average cd.

Yeah, Dream Theater are known for their long progressive songs. Just wait till you hear:

Ocatavarium - 23 Mins
A Change of Seasons - 26 Mins
Home - 13 Mins
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence - 45 Mins
:)

Queensryche - Art of Live DVD

Horrible recording, the whole band had an off night but was worth seeing for the Dream Theater/Queensryche cover jam at the end.

Picked up Awake by Dream Theater couple of days ago for 10 bucks, worth it for sure, lots of good tracks by them, mix of heavy and progressive style, really liking this album.

Managed to spend 44 bucks yesterday whoo on two great additions to my collection first Bruce Dickinsons reissued The Chemical Wedding which is some of his best solo work, all the tracks I have listened to so far are incredible  :D just amazing stuff and the 3 bonus tracks, even better. :wall:

Then picked up Live at Budokan by Dream Theater, only listened to 9 songs but it's just amazing, they are awesome live, everyone in the band is incredible and doing great just mind boggling how good this is, it's just too sweeeeeeeeeeet.

Wow, those are some great purchases DD. Live at the Budokan is one of the best concert DVDs I own and Bruce Dickinson's Chemical Wedding is one of the best metal albums of the last 10 years.

Myself, I just picked up James Labrie - Elements of Persuasion yesterday. Great cd that shows a heavier grittier vocal style for Labrie.

Picked up Tyranny of Souls by Bruce Dickinson today, what a great album definitely a worthy follow up to The Chemical Wedding, I've enjoyed most of the tracks so far, good pick up for 16 bucks.
