In this game, a key sentence hides a single, everyday word. The word can be found by accociating over this key sentence. Example:

Hitchcock mastered the diplodocus.

Hitchcock was a director, and he directed among others, a movie called "the Birds". The word "master" would vaguely hint at Hitchcock as a director. Now, the birds are decendants from the dinosaurs. If I tell you I'm looking for an 9 letter word, that word could be, and in this case is, "Evolution".

The first one to guess correctly, gets to compose and ask a new riddle.

Always tell how many letter are in the word.

Ok, first one:

For Henry Ford, programming was way down the line. (8)
I met a goldfish who remembered meeting me before, but I had forgotten about that.

The guessing is the easy part; coming up with a new riddle is much harder!  I'm going to be heading home in a few minutes, and I may not be online later tonight, so if anyone else has a riddle ready to go, please feel free to take my turn.

OK, never mind that.  Here's one that shouldn't be too hard:

"These spammers will be the death of me," grumbled Caesar.  (5)

Now you may have to wait a little while for me to tell you whether you've guessed correctly...
Today is a good day for pie.
