Yeah but that could just be a snazzy way to end it too. :) From what I remember don't think that was the case and TN was supposed to be the really end of the series, but again fan demand and whatnot, got the ball rolling again for the sequel.

http://www.last.fm/user/DeathDude/Upcoming Concerts will be attending, 5/10/08: Dream Theater, 5/12/08: Gigantour, 5/16/08: Nightwish, 5/27/08: Rush, 6/5/08 and 6/6/08: Iron Maiden, 7/27/08: Judas Priest,

OK ive played the all 4 games an d i ve some doubts about some thing that remont to the very first game, 5days, and i think they are important:

Who the hell kill AJ?
Who the hell WAS AJ?
Who buried the corpses in the basement?
If you answer to the last, John Defoe then.... who buried John in the bathroom?

And last, i like to give my opinion on some of the last events of 6days, but im very clumpsy with techno stuff so i dont know how to use those white anti-spoiler thing. SO I WARN YOU,  BIG SPOILER!!!!!

Quote

Well, to me the reason Chzo kill the Arrogant men and appears with a new prince is because Jhon Defoe was controlling the Tall man.  Or the prince was helping John , but a think he was beign controlled by him.

If you read the last journal entry, it said that the wreiths when their soul and mind are separated they got very unnpredicatable, and innestable (sory for my english, i know im having some spells issues)

Then, when Janine get posses by John the first time she talks to theo confusing him with the prince , and she told her somthing like "how many times do you have to kill him, he is still alive" referring to Trilby.   So you can tell taht the tall man was killing trilbies just because John was afraid of them, the same inside the mannor.

Finnally, john logically didnt want his mind beign destroyed so he uses the tall man for his safety too, trying to stop theo at the end, and i think too that he used the tall man to disconnect the bomb.

If you think it, the tall man was doing something there, and i dont belive he was just putting there a simply note, that had no use in that situation. And if it wasnt the Prince, then who disconnect the bomb?? it must have been the tall man.
Sooo for this weakness of the prince, chzo, destroy him.
Someone with me?  :)

Spoiler for DD:

Quote

I dunno but TN's ending left me with the clear sensation that Yahtzee was thinking in continuing the saga. He said the contrary? Even in that case maybe he lied because he didn't want his fans to put pressure on him. Maybe I'm wrong of course. But the Puppet's saying "we have the blood of the Guide" at the end of TN, and then clones of Trilby at the start of 6DAS...

Spoiler for Boloņo:

John Defoe killed AJ, I guess he possessed one of the other three to do it. AJ worked for the Ministry of Occultism or whatever it was called as vaguely described in TN. Who buried whom back when the Defoes were killed, I don't think it can be answered with the data from the game alone, maybe even Yahtzee hasn't bothered to think about it.

Hm I don't think so. As I recall it the note clearly explained that the Prince was a Lych and John was a wraith subservient to the former, far from the other way around.

Well most developers will sometimes leave it open like that, it does not always mean that a sequel is inevitable, but it does allow them to return to the idea down the road, rather than closing the door completely, at the time recall that it wasn't going to happen in the immediate or near future.

Here's my thoughts on why Chzo wanted a new prince.

Quote

Chzo is stranded on the wold of Magic needing a constant supply to stay alive and thus he is unable to enter the world of Technology.

Cabadath, AKA the 'Tall Man', was an imperfect tool. Although he came from the world of Technology he was already well versed in magic, as seen by his attempt to summon Chzo to the world of Technology.

He was also flawed in that his station as the Prince was not one of a reward, but a punishment for his arrogance in trying to summon Chzo. He was only allowed to enter the world of Technology on the anniversaries of the day he attempted to summon Chzo, and even then only to kill those who damaged his phyralcry. (For those who don't know that word a phyralcry is the item in which a Lich's soul is placed when it is removed from the body. In Cabadath's case the tree)

Theo on the other hand had no knowledge of magic before the events of 6DAS, unlike Cabadath. Also his appointment was not meant as any form of punishment, again unlike Cabadath. Also not being a Lich he is not bound to the laws of Magic, yet again unlike Cabadath.

For Chzo to act in the world of Technology Theo makes a much better tool then Cabadath did.

Finally, with the final part of John DeFoe destroyed I think that Cabadath had outlived his purpose. Chzo needed a Wraith so that the 3 parts could be destroyed separately and form the Bridge, and for that he needed a Lich. Which made Cabadath's entire purpose as the prince nothing more then being a tool for the summoning of his replacement, and only a incidental one at that. He was only needed so that John could be turned into a Wraith.

I think you really made up some sensible thoughts. :)

I always wondered where the tall man got his clothes from.
And why is he so tall? He was born when people used to be small....

1st off, thanks! :P

As for your question....

Spoily Answer said:

Although Liches can only be harmed trough damage to their souls container they can still be tortured. My guess is that the Tall Man's appearance comes from hundreds of years of torture at the hands of Chzo

Basically, I started the game, and got through the first part where you take the paper from the Guard and give it to Samantha, and then the Tall Man came out and squished him. After this, I have NO idea what to do. Samantha tells me to go find Janine and get the guns from her. Where is Janine?! I looked at the walkthrough... I forget where I saw it. But it says you need to go in the living quarters. But it's locked!

I can't figure this out. Any help would be great, thanks alot!  ;)

Hello, I was just wondering... What ever happened with interviewing Yahtzee? I mean, he's released a lot of games, but still, no new interviews since 7 Days...
Update Quest, Red Dwarf Demo, Comrade Citizen Part 1, Downloads, Forums, Updates, Fullyramblomatic.com, Adventure Game Studio, Osiris Games.

Well, I sort of kicked around the idea of claiming it, and then RL killed me (as it often does). We're fairly short on interviewing staff at the moment, unfortunately - most of our crew resources go to getting games on the site.
