#43906 What Linus Bruckman Sees When His Eyes Are Closed

Posted by VinceXII on 25 November 2006 - 11:10 PM in Game & Software Requests

Thanks for the comments guys!  And sorry for my little bit of deception!

As for the game's relatively short length: The game is a bit of a concept piece and I didn't want to drag it out too long.  However, there are four endings... did you get the true ending?  If you did, you'd get a code to add your name to the Hall of Completion!!!

He never talks to me anymore.  He never talks to anyone anymore.

His eyes are always closed.

I wonder what he sees...

Technical Recommendations

This game uses a lot of animations and transparencies on the screen at once, and since the engine lacks real hardware acceleration, the game will get bogged down on slower computers.  On a slow computer (say, less than 1.5GHz) animations will slow down and the sound will often skip.

I've included an option in the game's option menu that turns off some of the uneccessary effects which can help performance.  If this doesn't resolve the problem, I'm sorry.  But remember: it's just a freeware game!

#22975 Spooks Adventure Game

Posted by VinceXII on 19 February 2006 - 01:47 AM in Game & Software Requests

Sweet, I was just about to come in here and pimp this.  It's the second game from xii games (the first, Anna, has been added to the list, but is still waiting for a reviewer...  :ok: )

More about Spooks:

In the Land of the Dead, a day at the Carnage-Val usually means games, rides, and putting up with the rather defective employees.  However, for a little ghoul named Mortia, things are about to take a dive out of the ordinary.  When a smooth-talking skeleton convinces her to try a game of darts, she wins the most amazing prize she's ever seen: a live goldfish.

The moment before he disappears mysteriously, the skeleton tells Mortia that her fish won't stay "alive" for long if she doesn't help him.  So, naturally, Mortia names her new companion "Spooks" and sets out to find him someplace safe to be "alive," although she has no idea what that word means.  Little does she know that her task will take her from the Land of the Dead to places even more bizarre.

Here are some of the haunts in the Land of the Dead:
