Super Mario Run is Nintendo's long anticipated first mobile game on Android (releasing later this year) and iOS (out now). While the game hasn't been as successful as Nintendo had hoped (thanks to the cost to unlock the entire game), gamers still have a solid Super Mario Game on their phone (and it's free to start).

The game's graphics are taken straight from the DS/3DS versions of New Super Mario Bros, and look beautiful on a phone. The gameplay is a modified version of Mario, turned into an endless runner, but regardless this is still Mario at it's core. SMR even features a Mushroom Kingdom Builder mode for fun, and a timed trial run feature. You can unlock varios characters and items by completing certain aspects of the game.

While SMR may be pricey to unlock all of it's content, the initial free game is definitely worth the play.
