Oh no the dark army is rising again! The Dark army is coming for you! Well maybe not, but the fact of the matter is the dark army is rising again and what are you going to do about it? Grab a gun and start blasting those suckers back to the dead that's what! That's your goal in this game, mindless action blasting, while trying to stay alive, easy right? If you're ready for the challenge then take a look at Dark War 2.

The basic story mode of the game is that you're a soldier from the secret organization called DWX, and your role is to defeat the dark army. Basically as a soldier for the organization, you have many weapons to choose from your arsenal, all to take down the dark army, from such weapons as sub machine guns, to the stopping power of shotguns. To even laser rifles, you have many choices to choose from, in this side scrolling action title.

Game play in this title is simple, just blast as many enemies you can through different scenes in each level that you can choose before you even start playing, although getting much info about what to expect is not present. Once you enter a level, your job is simple, just kill, kill and more killing against the forces of darkness. You can pick up different weapons while you play like swords which can be amusing. The music in the game was pretty good overall, with a dark and eerie vibe to it, so it's nothing happy and upbeat, but nice and dark perfect for the game. Graphic wise, pretty good overall, although there was the odd time of slowdown which was odd, but overall the environments and enemies look good.

Similar environments are used for some of the maps you play in but the big issue I had was that only 2 enemy sprites were used for the beginning missions, it's nice and all but you get tired of blasting the same Skelton enemy over and over again.

Other than that, this was a nice side scrolling action game, and it was fun and enjoyable to play, oh and I will warn you about the blood in this game, if you're not a fan of it, then you might want to steer clear of this title, there is a bunch.
